How does the procedure work?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Within days, you will notice improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, which can last up to 4 months. Results may vary.

Who administers the treatment?

Only our aesthetic Longevity doctor at our Kirkland clinic, Dr. Denise Cinciripini, performs the treatment. She has performed BOTOX® Cosmetic injections ever since it was FDA-approved.

How long will the effect last?

Effects last for about 2 – 4 months typically. Once the effect begins to fade, it is best to reinject the area to maintain a smooth appearance.

What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?

Made by Allergan, BOTOX® Cosmetic is a neurotoxin from Clostridium Botulina (the bacteria that causes botulism) that is made in a lab, purified, and sterile. It is diluted and only used in minute doses. The toxin is a substance that is made from these bacteria that has the effect of relaxing the muscles. It has been used for many years in medicine and our doctor is well experienced in its administration.
